Hi,
Personally, I like this scene very much. It happened to the end of my imaging session on Jul 21st of Australia trip this year. I seldom took stationary shot but it attracted me much. So, I took a try. But all of my gears had been packed up in my car. So, asked my friend YC Tang to let me use his mount and Canon EF24mm lens to shoot it.
The result should be much better if I took it a bit eariler at the moment the moon just went up from the horizon . At least the milky way would be more obvious.
That is a stationary shot taken with Canon modified 40D + EF24mm @F2.8, iso1600 RAW, 30s w/dark subtracted.
Very surprisingly, the NGC7000 was captured, though very faint. Can you see it?
Hope you like it too.
Clear skies,
