Hi,
Here are some raw images of CometTuttle taken on Jan 04, 2008.
Tel: Hokoon 0.5 m f/8
Camera: Imperx 4ML (2048 x 2048) no cooling
Exposure : 10 seconds

The last one is a stacked from 41 raw images.
North is up.

Sounds like it's too dim?  even a 0.5m scope did like this....

Yes, the star to the left of teh comet on the first image is of 13.7 mag.
Remember these are all 10 second exposures.I can see stars down to 15.5 magnitude.
