Occultation on New Year Day

Hi,
It was cold but clear at Hokoon last night, with very BAD seeing. Instead of doing some observations before the occultation event at 19:40 UTC, Dec 31, 2007 SL Cheung, Kenneth and I were able to witness the ifc2 countdown from the roof of Hokoon, through a 10-cm refractor!

The occultation was recorded (more than 38000 frames) but no occultation was seen on the live video screen.  I need to examine the frames before drawing any conclusion.

Hi,
After checking the 38250 frames from the video file, the star appeared on every frame.
There has been no occultation that lasted longer than 1/15 second.
The report was made to IOTA.

香港根本不在見掩帶，不見掩星是正常的。
