The sum of these two angles is denoted by W=Ω+ω which is called the longitude of perigee.
Its signiticance is that for equatorial orbits, when i=0, the angles Ω and ω are not
determined, since there is no nodal line and the orientation of the scmi-major axis is
given by W.

It is defined as W=ω+Ω and is the sum of two angles not in the same plane. However

本人有這樣的意見,取消近日點黃經定義 W=ω+Ω,這就不會把不在同一平面的兩弧角相加,亦不會產生不合理的結果,近日點黃經≠近日點的黃經。若 i=0 時,定義 Ω=0 和 ω=近日點的黃經,雖然 ω 和 Ω 會不連續,但對行星位置計算沒有影響。 請同好們熱烈地發表意見。 謝謝!
