I have a 15-ft 1394 cable (6-pin type), about $60, bought in  深水黃金商場。My DMK works ok  with this length.

If i remember correctly, 15-ft is max length available in 黃金商場，no customer-made length. Besides I suspect DMK won't work properly if cable is too long.

You can buy a 6-ft 1394 cable and one 1394 connector (female-to-female) to extend your current cable, they are also sold in 黃金。However, "6-ft + connector" is approaching a single 15-ft price !!

Yes, 15-ft  cable bought in basement, but can't remember the shop name.
