By building regulations, any fixed roof is not allowed on my observation site. Now I have an idea for less suffering of solar heat on my telescope (The OTA is hot enough to fry eggs during summer time !). This idea seems the most effective and least expensive solution I can think of.
If such solar shelter proven to work, I can move to a more agressive step --- change the existing 10-inch Newtonian to 12-inch.
Anyone have experience or comment of using similar solar shelter in HK ?
