[size=13.3333px]et al., ATel #9469, published September 7; reported to CBAT via L.
[size=13.3333px]Chomiuk (Michigan State University))

[size=13.3333px]Discovery magnitude:
[size=13.3333px]- Fujikawa - 11.6 unfiltered CCD, using a 120-mm-f.l. f/3.5 camera lens
[size=13.3333px]- ASAS-SN - 12.13 V, using ASAS-SN robotic 14-cm telescopes

[size=13.3333px]Spectra: Spectroscopy indicating that Nova Sco 2016 No. 2 is a
[size=13.3333px]highly reddened classical Fe II-type nova was obtained by A. Arai
[size=13.3333px](Koyama Astronomical Observatory, Kyoto Sangyo U.) and S. Honda
[size=13.3333px](Nishi-Harima Astronomical Observatory (NHAO), U. Hyogo) on 2016
[size=13.3333px]Sep. 8.43 UT at NHAO (CBET 4320); by T. Bohlsen (ARAS Group,
[size=13.3333px]Armidale, NSW, Australia) 2016 Sep. 8.41725-8.54828 UT at Armidale
[size=13.3333px](ATel #9477); by D. Bersier (Liverpool JMU) et al. on Sep. 8 UT at
[size=13.3333px]La Silla (ATel #9478); and by J. Prieto (UDP/MAS) et al. on Sep. 8
[size=13.3333px]UT at Las Campanas (ATel #9479).

[size=13.3333px]Observing recommendations: Observations of all types (visual, CCD,
[size=13.3333px]DSLR, spectroscopy) and all bands as instrumentation permits are
[size=13.3333px]strongly encouraged as the nova evolves.
