Prof. Wolfendale is a world-leading authority on Cosmic Ray research. He is also the mentor of Prof. Enoch Young, one of our advisor.
He was born in 1927 and obtained his PhD in 1953 from Manchester. He was appointed Astronomer Royal in 1991 and knighted in 1996.
