尋找2012香港日環食觀測地點

利用Google Earth, 標示了幾個日環食觀測點選擇,

以下幾個地點, 交通比較方便:
1.大坳門路/大坑墩
2.石澳
3.船灣淡水湖白沙頭(大壩盡頭)
4.科學園
5.星光大道

個人首選大坳門路, 由清水灣至布袋澳一段馬路邊, 啱方位, 可見水平線, 公共交通可達。但不適合多人聚會, 因沒有開陽平坦空地。
大坑墩適合人多集會, 但在觀測方向低角度可能有山勢障礙, 未能判斷有多大影響。

去年在星光大道向方位角70度拍了幾張相, 用Stellerium 番查當晚時間, 月亮位於方位角70.5度, 高8.5度, 如果5月21日好天, 食甚時約5度, 日環食可能剛好在山脊線或大廈上出現, 影相仲可以有維港地景, 睇完要趕返工就最方便。

Pls consider whether 鶴咀道 above 石澳 may be appropriate site. There is a roundabout at 鶴咀道 where bus 9 would stop. However, the wind is big and many buses pass there frequently.

The open view above the valley  below (Shek O beach) should be around Az 60-70. Islands far away are about 1-2 degree high.

If you want to reach beyond the roundabout, you must call a taxi since the road beyond roundabout is restricted area. But it is possible to reach higher altitude near the satellite base station.

正如Raymond指出, 我也覺得Google Map街景圖拍攝位置不大適合停留做觀測,
不過相片顯示觀測方位應該可行, 故可嘗試到石澳山仔後面大頭洲, 或沙灘後段找尋合適觀測位。
