個 Cube Mount 重未試完，到 5 月石壁營 時再試它全面 D。

MK150 可能是負載極限。個 Mount 連原廠腳架只重 3.7 kg (8.1 lbs)，MK150 亦有番咁上下重，loading 再大就平衡不保了。

我認為 輕盈的 Cube Mount 最適宜帶去 camp 作目視 ，加 ToUcam 影一分鐘 video 或 Coolpix 單張影太陽月球都會得既，但影 deepsky 就不能了 。

今天試用Cube Mount “附送” 的 3X Barlow。正如預料，這個東西只用單片無消色的凹玻璃，加 25mm 目鏡已經像散，加12.5 mm 目鏡更有大量彩虹贈送。我不想扔掉它，唯有將凹玻璃拆走，留下個黑膠管作為 “吋半長的 tube extender” 用! 原廠的 8 cm f/5 的對焦背座只可伸縮 1.7 吋，超短，雖然用原廠的正像棱鏡可以對焦，但用其他 star diagonal 就不行了，必須加多個 tube extender 才行。我被迫將 3X Barlow 當做 tube extender 用，怪哉!

好壞都要講下。

Cube mount 最大好處是不用帶重重的平衡錘和水電。只要較好 mount 身的水平珠，用指南針對準方向 (tracking 效果絕對與南北對位有關)，鏡筒對準天頂，開電掣就 ok。試過不作任何 star alignment，用 50X 目視太陽 (當然有減光濾鏡啦)，一小時內太陽只移動 ~半個直徑，所以用中低倍錄影 <1 min video 或單張影太陽月球或行星都可以，深空攝影(估計)則不行。帶 cube 戶外觀天，記得帶埋指南針呀，重係要個指南針吾好咁細咁呆鈍，要靈敏D。

Star alignment test 要等五月 camp 至知。

iOptron 呢個 mini-tower goto 型號 (包埋 32 通道 GPS同時可以在左、右兩邊裝兩支鏡) 仲啱去睇日食用。

這支鏡有人講過話可以上 10kg 鏡, 真係要試過先知....

The Club mount is specifiied for up to 5 kg while the Mini-Tower is specified for up to 10 kg.

I have tried the Club with an Intes 6" MCT and the mount worked. However, it was very shaky. A few days before, I mounted it with a PST for solar imaging. The mount was firstly positioned to the park position (facing south and with the PST pointing vertically upwards) with the help of a compass. Then the mount was set to the Sun. The pointing is a few degrees away and the scope was pointed to the Sun with the direction buttons. The mount was then synchronized using the synchronization function. After that, the scope tracked the Sun but not accurately. The worst thing was the vibration induced by breezes.

The mount is having a lot of play and the plastic gears are not rigid enough.

一個不易受附近(包括 cube 本身) 干擾及靈敏的指南針，正確指向南方是非常重要，我試了六、七個不同的指南針，才找到一個合用的指南針，加上準確的調校水平，和調校 park telescope 位置，不用 star alignment 亦能使 cube 有一定程度準確的找尋觀看的星星(注意：有些星體位置 data 有錯，須 upgarde 至最新 firmware 修正)。

5 月紅十字會營多雲，找不到光星，未能試 Cube 的 tracking performance.
可能要 8 月後回港再找機會試 tracking.

我最準用 Cube 的一次是 mount 支 ETX90 Mak，50X 看太陽，用靈敏指南針對準南北，鏡頭對準天頂，一個鐘頭內太陽位移一個直徑左右。我用 Cube 仔純綷以目視為主，頂多加 ToUcam 半分鐘 video ，ETX90 loading + Cube 仔的組合幾滿意。開機前一定要對準南北和天頂，三腳架要校好水平珠，這是維持準確性的先決條件。

10 kg loading 無謂試了，5 kg (~C8) 極免強，在 5 月觀星營，試過 C5 loading + Cube 無問題
