AR12628 - 9 day evolution-1 (2017 Jan 19-20)

AR12628 first appears as a tiny flare on the NE limb on Jan 19.It has evolved into a large group with a large leading spot and many following sunspots.


On Jan. 20, it erupts violently at around 13:45 and the eruption runs well after 15:40, but observation has to stop.

Telescope: AP Starfire EDT 155 mm f/9.
stopped to 50 mm for disc images, with 4X telecentric lens (f/36) for closeups
filter: Solar Spectrum SO1.5/0.3A with CERF prefilter
Camera: Imperx 4M15
North is up, and east to the left.
