Further to CBET 2381, on behalf of the "La Sagra Sky Survey (LSSS)"
Supernova Search Team, Filip Novoselnik reports the discovery of an apparent
supernova (mag about 16.8) on three CCD images (limiting magnitude about 20.0)
taken on July 21.018-21.044 UT with a 0.45-m telescope. The new object is
located at R.A. = 0h17m25s.70 +/- 0s.16, Decl. = -0d58'37".7 +/- 0".4
(equinox 2000.0), which is 5".5 west and 8".2 north of the nucleus of the
galaxy PGC 1142.Additional approximate magnitudes for 2010gq:2001 Aug.
24.7, [22 (Digitized Sky Survey; infrared plate); 2010 June 19.136, 16.5
(LSSS; pre-discovery); July 23.074, V = 17.5 (LSSS).A cropped image showing
