Apollo Image Archive (project)

For those interested in lunar study,

I wish to introduce the “Apollo Image Archive”, a 3-year project conducted by the Arizona State Universityhttp://apollo.sese.asu.edu/index.html

The project re-processes the old Apollo orbital images of the Moon (films) with latest technology, making them still one of the highest resolution photos available today.

Here is an example which I cropped from the full version. It only represents a small part of the full frame. Ching-Te and the Apollo-17 landing site are clearly seen.

Enjoy these hi-resolution images (and their geologic interpretation) !
