..............和他吃飯，最快樂的是聽他講笑話，有次他說了這麼個英文笑話：一位記者分別問歐洲人、美國人、和蘇聯人同樣問題：What is your personal opinion about the starvation of other countries?（你對其它國家飢餓問題有何看法？）歐洲人回答：What do you mean by starvation?（飢餓是什麼意思？）美國人回答：What do you mean by other countries? 蘇聯人回答：What do you mean by personal opinion?（什麼是個人意見？）這個笑話的幽默在點出了歐洲人飽漢不知餓漢飢之無知，美國人無視其它國家存在之自大及蘇聯共黨政權統治下人民之不自由。看，詩人不僅可以悲歌，也可以幽默。

又講古： 由于天王星的軌道不規則，19世紀英國的 Adam 和法國的 Le Verrier 分別推算有一顆 X 行星必定在天王星的軌道附近，後來 X 被德國柏林天文台的 Galle 發現，命名為海王星，不過英法兩國就為此事不和。當年一幅法國漫畫；
