2015 August 18 Sun - AR12403
AR12403 first appeared on August 18, on the SEE limb.It demonstrated lots of flares from the beginning.As it turns towards the meridian, it develops into a huge group, extending more than 15 degrees in helio longitudes in the past 2 days.
Lots of flares and filaments are produced, together with some white-light flare.
Telescope: AP Starfire EDT 155 mm f/9.
stopped to 50 mm for disc images, with 4X telecentric lens (f/36) for closeups
filter: Solar Spectrum SO1.5/0.3A with CERF prefilter
Camera: Imperx 4M15
North is up, and east to the left.
