BF Cyg observations requested

AAVSO Special Notice #400
March 13, 2015

BF Cyg observations requested

Dr. George Wallerstein (University of Washington) informed us that
the symbiotic variable BF Cygni has brightened considerably over
the past few weeks, and he is currently obtaining spectroscopy of it.

He is interested in correlating the spectral evolution with the
optical light curve, and has asked for more coverage by the AAVSO
community. Both visual and CCD (filtered, preferably V) observations
are useful and are requested, particularly by observers who have
already been observing BF Cyg recently (so that we can establish
your visual zero-point).

Especially if BF Cygni is one of your usual targets, please keep
it in your observing program and observe it every few days during the
current episode and throughout the 2015 observing season.
